Why hire a ghostwriter?
If you’re a successful healthcare practitioner, you may be too busy delivering care to get your ideas from brain to paper. And unless writing is your passion, you may not have the expertise to organize those ideas into a book people want to read. That’s where a seasoned ghostwriter comes in.
If you have the first draft of a manuscript or other healthcare content you’d like repurposed into a book, click here to learn about my book editing services.
I put your ideas onto the page
As a health book ghostwriter, I can streamline the book writing process, so you have a final manuscript in just six months. Using personal interviews and research, I outline your story or program, develop the book concept and write the book so that your job is simplified. Once you have reviewed and approved the final result, your book is ready for publishing.
In my career, I have authored nine books for Sunset Publishing, ghostwritten chronic health disease management workbooks on a variety of health issues and edited text books on health education for middle schoolers. As an author, I know how to filter good ideas from bad, preserve your voice, create a compelling read and keep your message on point. This is your book, and it’s my job to bring it to life.
A simple process with a complex finish
There is nothing simple about writing a good health book. But when you work with a seasoned ghostwriter, it will feel like the story writes itself. Depending on how quickly you can review each chapter of the manuscript, a book can be completed in six months.

Publishing your book
While I don’t work directly with book publishers, I can help you create a successful publication strategy for your finished manuscript. If your goal is to self-publish, I can direct you to book designers who will create the perfect cover and design pages that give your book the authority it deserves.
Ghostwriting pricing
Pricing for ghostwriting can range from $30,000 to over $100,000, depending on the complexity of the material and length of the book.
If you’ve already written a fair amount of content in the form of articles, blog posts, videos, or other materials, you may have the makings of a rough transcript. In that case, a good developmental edit might be all you need. A developmental edit involves looking at overall organization, rearranging articles or posts into chapters as needed, and ghostwriting missing copy. Developmental editing prices start at $5,000.
